Hi from Charley and a newsletter
Hello readers!
I’m starting a newsletter so I can share my work without spending a ton of time on Twitter and Instagram. I subscribed you because I thought you might be interested.
If you’d like to receive this newsletter, great! It’ll arrive in your inbox every month or so, and will include my recently published stories, some ideas that I’m working through, and lines I’ve read that live in my head. Like Steinbeck’s Travels with Charley, this newsletter will include some unfinished investigations into why we live the way we do, some cross-country road gripes, and a deep reverence for the sequoias and wildflowers of Northern California. Unlike Travels with Charley, the Charley in question is not a grandiose poodle.
If you’d prefer not to receive this newsletter, I absolutely understand. Just click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of this email. I hold no grudge.
Either way, if you ever have thoughts on story ideas I should look into—news that kids would care about reading, broader trends or interesting people in the worlds of young people and elders, questions you can’t stop thinking about that you think I should also be obsessed with—I’m all ears.
If you’d like to see my previous work (or work together!), look to www.charleylocke.com. And if you think of others who’d be interested in reading this newsletter, please forward it along. They can subscribe using the button below.
Warmly,
Charley
